Can you believe that January is already slipping through our fingers? By golly, where has the time gone? The holiday season is way behind us now. If your lights are still lit at night, maybe it’s time to consider taking them down, hmm? Don’t get me wrong, I’m a Holiday Holapalooza kinda girl, but we need to make room for another special occasion. You know what I mean. The mushiest, gushiest, heart-warmingest celebration of them all: Valentine’s Day.
I know, it may not be the most popular special occasion, but why can’t it be? All you happily single folks out there: V-day is about love, whether it’s your main squeeze, your friends, your parents, your cats… as long as there’s one person in this world that doesn’t drive you totally bananas and that you love even just an itsy bitsy bit, V-day is the time to reflect on how fortunate we are to have someone we cherish, no matter who that person is. I vote that we lift that misleading veil off of Valentine’s Day and expose it not as a celebration of lovers, but a celebration of love, plain and simple. Who’s with me? Raw raw raw! Okay, I’ll come down from my soap box now.
So with Valentine’s Day peaking right around the corner, I thought I’d share some fun DIY ideas I stumbled upon.
